Job summary

Huzzl is seeking an experienced AS/400 Developer with 6+ years to join the Mysore team. You will develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications on the IBM AS/400 (iSeries) platform, using RPG, CL, and DB2/400 technologies.

You will collaborate with business users and technical teams, perform debugging and optimization, and contribute to migrations and modernization efforts as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on AS/400 / IBM iSeries development experience.
• Proficiency in RPG programming (RPGIII, RPGIV, RPGLE, Free Format RPG) and CL programming.
• Strong DB2/400, SQL, and Query/400 knowledge; capable of debugging and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support applications on the IBM AS/400 (iSeries) platform.
• Work with RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, COBOL/400, and DB2/400 programming.

AS/400 DEVELOPER / AS400 TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced AS/400 Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in IBM iSeries / AS400 application development, maintenance, and support.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in RPG programming, DB2/400, CL programming, and system support. The candidate will work closely with business users, analysts, and technical teams to develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, maintain, and support applications on the IBM AS/400 (iSeries) platform.
• Work on RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, COBOL/400, and DB2/400 programming.
• Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Perform code enhancements, debugging, testing, and production support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and processes.
• Work on batch job scheduling, job monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot system/application issues and provide timely resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for application integration and deployment.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Support migration, modernization, and system upgrade activities when required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong experience in AS/400 / IBM iSeries development.
• Expertise in RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, Free Format RPG, CL/CLLE.
• Good knowledge of DB2/400, SQL, and Query/400.
• Experience in debugging and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of batch processing and job scheduling.
• Familiarity with source control and change management tools.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience with API integration and web services on AS/400.

• Knowledge of Aldon, Turnover, or other change management tools.
• Experience in manufacturing, logistics, finance, or retail domains is an added advantage.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in AS/400 / IBM iSeries technologies.
