Qualifications

• 6–12 years of experience in AS400/IBM iSeries RPG development and application support.
• Hands-on experience with AS400/IBM iSeries development.
• Proficiency in RPG, RPG ILE, RPG/400, and CL-based environments.
• Solid DB2/400 and DB2 knowledge used in IBM i applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, maintain, and support applications on AS400/IBM iSeries platforms using RPG-based technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, maintain, and support applications on AS400 / IBM iSeriesplatforms using RPG-based technologies.
• Analyze business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and implement application changes across the development lifecycle.
• Work with RPG, RPG ILE, RPG/400, DB2/400, DB2, and CL-based application components.
• Perform application troubleshooting, defect resolution, production support, testing, and root-cause analysis.
• Manage batch jobs, investigate job failures, support operational processing, and assist with system and application upgrade activities.

Skills Required

• 6 - 12 years of relevant experience in AS400 / IBM iSeries RPG development and application support.
• Strong hands-on experience with AS400 / IBM iSeries application development.
• Practical expertise in RPG, RPG ILE, RPG/400, and AS400 RPG development environments.
• Solid knowledge of DB2/400 and DB2 databases used within IBM i applications.
• Experience working with CL-based programs and batch job processing in production environments.
• Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot application issues, deliver enhancements, and support business-critical systems.

Good to Have

• Experience in application optimization and performance improvement.
• Strong debugging experience across RPG, CL, batch jobs, and DB2-based applications.

Education

B.Sc., B.Tech, B.E., M.Tech, or an equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
