Job description

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career. Stripe is growing quickly and along with that, so are its operational requirements. Stripe Delivery Centers (SDC) are a brand new initiative to accelerate and expand Stripe’s operational capabilities via the creation of centralized hubs or centers of operational excellence. SDC will be staffed with Stripes, not vendors - we want Stripes at SDC to have the same level of tools and systems access as Stripes in other locations.

About the team

Stripe is investing in building out its Creative Design team within SDC to reach users across the globe. The team designs comprehensive ad campaigns tailored for various platforms, ensuring that every visual element aligns with our marketing goals and engages our audience effectively. We create net‑new creative content, localize and adapt our content to meet the unique cultural and linguistic needs of different regions, to effectively present our message in global languages. In addition to our work in advertising and web content, we also produce high‑quality designs for presentations and other collateral aimed at large users and executive audiences. Our designs enhance the clarity and impact of our messages, making complex information accessible and engaging. Whether it's a pitch to clients or a strategy meeting with executives, we provide visually compelling designs that communicate our ideas confidently and effectively.

What you’ll do

Designers at Stripe’s SDC demonstrate a passion for captivating storytelling and great design. They use design systems to help tell compelling stories to a variety of audiences, and are well‑versed at expanding, evolving, defining, and documenting flexible design systems and experiences that achieve bar‑raising quality and consistency for the brand at scale. They are user‑focused, have a strong understanding of the business, and are empathetic and inspiring. The ideal candidate excels across a variety of styles, crisply articulates design decisions, iterates quickly, and collaborates seamlessly with marketers, product managers, leaders, other designers, and other partners.

Responsibilities
  • Ideate, design and produce world‑class design solutions (static and motion) for a variety of events and deliverables including and not limited to presentations, posters, art, branding, and signage.
  • Can steward designers through large‑scale design projects, providing art direction and ongoing guidance on creative strategy, execution, and localisation.
  • Work across a wide variety of mediums (physical, digital, and everything in between) to create immersive storytelling and creative content that brings Stripe’s brand and product stories to life.
  • Bring design concepts to life through storyboarding, comps, and creative presentations, iterating on creative based on stakeholder feedback and internal testing.
  • Collaborate with copywriters, static and motion designers, marketers, and ad operations to create interesting, visionary concepts that engage a global audience.
  • Mentor designers in design best practices and ideation, fostering an environment where everyone learns and grows.
  • Present ideas in a clear and focused way that builds consensus within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Proactive in identifying and implementing process optimization initiatives through automation and AI integration to enhance design quality and efficiency.
Requirements
  • 6 to 10 years of relevant design and art direction experience, specifically for technical and product-driven companies.
  • Strong track record of independently delivering work as well as influencing the work of other designers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Canva and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (for both motion and statics).
  • Ability to manage a team of 3-4 Creative designers.
  • Ability to express and communicate a brand through distinct graphics, patterns, motion, interaction and experiences.
  • A hands‑on maker with the skills to effectively communicate concepts, direction, and decisions to the team and external partners.
  • Ability to find a meaningful balance between optimizing for speed and quality, while consistently delivering challenging, interesting, and pixel‑perfect work.
  • Persuasive and humble in explaining work, process, and decisions, with a craving for feedback to help design at your best.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including late evenings in India, to facilitate real‑time collaboration with global stakeholders.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a drive for perfection down to the last pixel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A multidisciplinary creative with a wide skill set who is comfortable working across different mediums and crafts, and is excited about experimenting with new technologies.
  • Prior people management experience, with a track record of hiring, managing, and developing design talent.
