Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions is seeking a China-focused Sales Manager to lead the Film sales team across China. You will develop strategies, coach the team, and drive revenue in alignment with global plans.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, materials science, or engineering, plus 3 years of experience in films, injection molding, or surface treatment on plastics. Proficiency in English and Chinese is essential, with Japanese a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, materials science, or engineering (or commercial-related degree).
• Fluent in English and Chinese (reading, writing, speaking); Japanese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategy for China aligned with global plan.
• Lead and coach the Film sales team in China; set targets and monitor performance.
• Monitor sales KPIs and report to APAC leadership; provide insights to improve effectiveness.
• Identify market expansion opportunities; establish partnerships and distribution channels.
• Build strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders in China market.
• Collaborate with Director and finance to develop forecasts and budgets for China.

Who are we looking for?

Responsible for managing Film sales team in the territory of China.

What will you be doing?

• Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute sales strategies and plans for China, in alignment with the overall global sales strategy. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and define sales targets.
• Team Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a sales team in China, providing clear guidance, coaching, and support. Set performance targets, monitor progress, and foster a high-performance driven culture. Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other departments.
• Sales Performance and Reporting: Monitor sales performance in China, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting to the APAC Business Director. Analyze sales data, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations to improve sales effectiveness and drive growth.
• Market Expansion and Business Development: Identify and evaluate opportunities for market expansion in China. Collaborate with the Director to enter new markets, establish partnerships, or expand distribution channels to maximize sales potential.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in China market. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, provide exceptional customer service, and foster long-term partnerships.
• Sales Forecasting and Budgeting: Collaborate with the Senior Director and finance team to develop sales forecasts and budgets for China market. Provide inputs based on market trends, customer insights, Atlas opportunities and sales performance analysis to ensure accurate forecasting and resource allocation.

Who are You?

• Bachelor’s degree with chemistry, material science, or engineering or commercial related degree is preferred and with 3 years of films, injection molding, surface treatment on plastics working experience in technical background would be a plus.
• Need to be very GOOD in English and Chinese in reading, writing and speaking. With Japanese could be a significant plus.

• Work together with internal product and technical team, external customers to develop new project, and provide professional solution on using of our products.
