Job summary

DMart in Chennai seeks a seasoned DC/Warehouse Manager to oversee multi-DC operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards. You will manage inbound/outbound processes, inventory control, and dispatch, while leveraging SAP-WMS and other systems for reporting.

You will coordinate across Inventory, Quality, Transport, HR and Security, ensuring regulatory compliance and leading a team through training and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Oversee DC operations across multiple centers; align with company standards and drive efficiency.
• Manage inbound, outbound, inventory, picking, packing, sorting, GRN, and dispatch processes; ensure high productivity from First Mile to Last Mile.
• Ensure accurate and timely opening and closing of DCs; adhere to warehouse SOPs and process flows.
• Leverage SAP-WMS and other systems for inventory control, tracking and reporting; be system-savvy with warehouse tech.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Inventory, Quality, Transport, HR and Security to ensure unified performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FSSAI, Legal Metrology, Labour Laws) and liaise with government bodies as needed.
• Lead, train and mentor warehouse teams; conduct regular training and performance reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

• DC Management: Oversee operations across multiple DCs, ensuring each center functions efficiently and in alignment with company standards.
• Warehouse Operations: Manage and monitor all activities including Inbound, Outbound, Inventory Management, Picking, Packing, Sorting, GRN, and Dispatch processes. Ensure high productivity across First Mile to Last Mile operations.
• Process Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely opening and closing of DCs. Drive adherence to all warehouse SOPs and process flows to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
• Technology & Systems: Leverage SAP-WMS and other relevant systems for inventory control, tracking, and reporting. Must be system-savvy with hands‑on experience in warehouse technology platforms.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Facilitate smooth coordination between different functions such as Inventory, Quality, Transport, HR, and Security to ensure unified operational performance.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to FSSAI, Legal Metrology, Labour Laws, and other statutory regulations. Handle liaison activities with government bodies and regulatory officials when required.
• Team Leadership & Development: Build, train, and mentor warehouse teams to enhance productivity and operational excellence. Conduct regular training sessions and performance reviews.

Language Requirement for Chennai : Proficiency in Tamil (mandatory)
