POPO Global, operating as POPO Ventures in Bengaluru, is seeking a passionate Area Manager to oversee multiple outlets across The Pizza Bakery, Paris Panini and Smash Guys. You will drive sales, profitability and operate to high standards of guest experience.

You will lead restaurant managers, coach teams, manage inventory and ensure food safety, SOPs and brand consistency while traveling between outlets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–8+ years in restaurant or hospitality operations.

Job description

POPO Global, also operating as POPO Ventures, is a Bengaluru-based restaurant and food platform operating multiple dining concepts, including The Pizza Bakery, known for its artisanal wood-fired sourdough pizzas; Paris Panini, offering French-style sandwiches and grilled wraps; and Smash Guys, focused on smash burgers. We are looking for a passionate, commercially driven Area Manager to oversee multiple outlets, strengthen operational standards and support business growth across our brands.

Role Overview

The Area Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of assigned outlets, including sales, profitability, guest experience, operational excellence, people management, food safety and compliance. The role requires strong multi-unit restaurant operations experience and the ability to coach outlet teams while maintaining consistency across different brand formats.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business & Revenue Growth

• Drive sales, revenue and profitability across all assigned outlets.
• Set outlet-level targets, review performance and implement corrective action plans.
• Analyse business metrics and identify opportunities to improve sales, average order value and repeat visits.
• Monitor operating costs and support achievement of business goals.

2. Guest Experience & Brand Standards

• Ensure a consistent guest experience aligned with the standards and positioning of each POPO Global brand.
• Monitor guest feedback, online reviews and satisfaction scores; resolve escalations promptly.
• Maintain brand standards across ambience, presentation, service and customer interactions.
• Oversee end-to-end daily operations across assigned outlets and ensure smooth functioning.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, food quality, hygiene, food safety and service standards.
• Coordinate with kitchen, service and central support teams to address operational issues.
• Conduct regular outlet visits and audits, follow up on gaps and ensure timely closure of action points.

4. Marketing & Guest Engagement

• Work with the central marketing team to execute local promotions, campaigns and events.
• Identify opportunities to increase footfall, customer engagement and repeat business.
• Support local partnerships and initiatives relevant to each outlet and brand.
• Lead, coach and mentor Restaurant Managers and outlet teams to improve performance.
• Partner with HR on manpower planning, hiring, onboarding, training and retention.
• Build a culture of accountability, teamwork and service excellence.
• Review team performance and identify development and succession-planning needs.

6. Inventory & Cost Control

• Monitor inventory, stock levels, procurement practices and vendor coordination.
• Control food cost, wastage and pilferage while maintaining product quality.
• Ensure consistency in ingredient quality and stock management across outlets.

7. Risk, Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with applicable food safety requirements, licences, audits and internal policies.
• Maintain safety standards for guests, employees and company assets.
• Ensure proper cash handling, reporting and audit compliance; manage incidents and escalations effectively.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
• 5–8+ years of experience in restaurant or hospitality operations, preferably in multi-unit, cluster or premium dining environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple outlets and drive revenue, profitability and operational standards.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel between assigned outlets as required.

Compensation

Annual CTC: ₹7–8 LPA, based on relevant experience and overall suitability.
