Job summary

Qualifications

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Architect role based in Madurai. The Architect will develop design concepts, prepare drawings and plans, and refine designs in response to client requirements, budgets, and regulatory standards. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with structural, MEP, and other consultants, preparing detailed construction documentation, and reviewing designs for compliance with building codes and local regulations. The role involves site visits to monitor progress, address design and execution issues, and collaborate with contractors to ensure adherence to design intent. The Architect will also participate in client meetings, support project presentations, and contribute to project scheduling and quality control.

Qualifications

• Solid architectural design skills, including concept development, space planning, and integration of functional and aesthetic requirements.
• Proficiency in architectural drafting and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and familiarity with basic 3D modeling and rendering.
• Understanding of construction methods, materials, and detailing, with the ability to produce clear construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes, particularly within Tamil Nadu or similar jurisdictions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, consultants, and on-site teams, including the ability to present and explain design decisions.
• Effective project coordination and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or equivalent professional qualification; registration or eligibility for registration with the Council of Architecture is an advantage.
• Previous experience in an architecture or construction firm, preferably with exposure to residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects in India.
