S&P Global India offers a 12-month Apprenticeship in Data Operations. Fresh graduates with a commerce background join a global team that collects, summarizes, and synthesizes data from government, regulatory documents, stock exchanges, and industry sources.

You will rotate shifts, gain on-the-job experience, and receive learning opportunities; the program is designed to build a career in essential intelligence and market analysis with collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates with commerce background (BBA/BMS/BCom) or PGDM/MBA in Finance.
• Passing year 2026 for graduates; 2026/2027 for MBA candidates.
• Willing to work in rotational shifts (24x5 incl. night shift).
• Excellent communication and strong understanding of corporate finance.

• Understand dataset workflows and tool usage.

The Team:

The Team of Apprentice, Data Operations work on various research reports and company documents to collect information & generate meaningful consensus from the collected data. This effort is coupled with real time monitoring of global industry trade publications and websites/news aggregators. Different Teams under Enterprise Data Organization includes Fundamentals, Private Equity team, Investment Management, Fillings & Sourcing, Public Ownership, Pricing Data - Derivative, Equity and many more.

Our Apprenticeship Program

• The apprenticeship is a skill training program governed by The Apprenticeship Act, 1961(India), where individuals have the chance to partner with our industry experts, with onthe-job experience focusing on high impact work that allows you to apply and developyour skills. • S&P Global is looking to hire young fresh graduates and postgraduates for a 12-month apprenticeship program.

Eligibility criteria for the Apprentice role

• Candidates must not be already registered on the NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) portal as apprentices

• Candidates should not have an active UAN/PF account

Responsibilities:

• High quality data (Financial) collection, analysis, extraction and entering the data in work tools as per guideline specifications for assigned vertical.

• Understand the working of the dataset, be aware of the workflows and have strong working knowledge of work tools.

• Deliver on predefined individual and team targets including delivering outcomes with quality and excellence.

• Troubleshoots problems or issues and support team in enhancing the workflow/processes for department.

• Timely response to mails from coworkers and managers. Be proactive and demonstrates aptitude for new learnings.

What We’re Looking For:

• Fresh graduates with a commerce (BBA/BMS/BCom) background (Passing year 2026) OR PGDM/MBA specializing in Finance (Passing year 2026 & 2027)

• Candidates must be willing to work in rotational shift basis the business requirement (24x5 environment with rotational shifts, including night shift )

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

• Strong understanding of corporate finance and accountancy, including financial statements and annual reports

• Adaptability to work across all time-zones.

• Proficiency in MS-office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Strong quantitative, analytical, and interpretive skills.
