Job summary

AtkinsRéalis, a world-class engineering services firm, is hiring an Apprentice Geotechnical Engineer to join our geotechnical team in India. You will assist with soil mechanics investigations, design retaining walls, and support project delivery for roads, rail, and water projects.

The ideal candidate holds postgraduate study in Soil Mechanics or Geotechnical Civil Engineering, can work independently, communicate effectively with international clients, and travel domestically or overseas.

Qualifications

• The successful applicant will be employed as Apprentice Geotechnical Engineer with a proven technical and project management track record.
• A strong academic background with a post graduate degree in Soil Mechanics, or Foundation or Ground Engineering or Civil engineering (Geotechnical specialization) or PhD in a relevant subject.
• Ability to work independently with minimum support from seniors.
• Proven experience of acting as a geotechnical engineer in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and technical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with international clients.
• Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
• A flair for innovation.
• A willingness to travel on short term assignments both within India and overseas.

Responsibilities
