AtkinsRéalis, a world-class engineering services company, seeks a Senior Geotechnical Design Manager to lead our geotechnical team on infrastructure projects across India and overseas. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 15+ years of geotechnical design experience, and proven PM skills.

You will oversee design delivery, liaise with international clients, and drive innovative, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (required).
• Professional Engineer, P.Eng. from US/Canada regions (preferred).
• 15+ years of geotechnical design experience in consultancy or ground engineering.

Job Description Overview

As such we are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Design Manager to take a leading role in our strong geotechnical team.

Your role

The successful applicant will be a senior geotechnical engineer with a proven technical and project management track record. A strong academic background with degree in Civil engineering and Master Degree or PhD in a relevant subject. Ability to lead small project teams. With minimum 15 years of relevant design experience. Proven experience of acting as a geotechnical engineer in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment. Excellent interpersonal and technical skills. Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with international clients. Good commercial track record in negotiating and running jobs successfully. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work. A flair for innovation and sustainability. A willingness to travel on short term assignments both within India and overseas.

About you

Degree in Civil Engineering. Professional Engineer, P.Eng. from US/ Canada Regions. Masters Degree or PhD in a relevant subject with appropriate and sufficient experience in the field of geotechnical engineering either with civil consultancy or as a designer for a ground engineering contractor Candidates will be asked to show how their experience demonstrates ability to: Strong work experience in US and or Canada Regions Transportation and Infrastructure Projects. Also got UK Rail Projects experience as leading the work packages. Analytical skills to assess complex problems and deliver appropriate solutions Design of modular and embedded retaining walls, slope stability analysis & pile group analysis. Conversant with geotechnical analysis software like PLAXIS (2D&3D) SLOPE/W, WALLAP, VDISP & REPUTE. Experience of soil structure interaction work and numerical analysis would be an advantage. Experience of providing digital and sustainable solutions on the projects.
