Job summary

DXC Technology in Mumbai is seeking a budding software engineer to join our application support team. You will learn Unix/Linux, Java, MQ, and Oracle SQL while collaborating on project objectives.

You will troubleshoot issues, participate in training programs, and contribute to best practices as you grow your understanding of software architecture and design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with education/experience
• 1+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and development methodologies
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the field

Responsibilities

• Provide application support with Unix/Linux, Java, MQ, and Oracle SQL knowledge

Essential Job Functions:

• Application support with Basis knowledge of Unix/Linux, Java, message queue, Oracle SQL.
• Collaborate with the team to meet project objectives.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, seeking guidance and mentorship.
• Learn and adapt to software development practices and methodologies, actively participating in training programs.
• Contribute to the implementation of best practices and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance your understanding of software architecture and design.
• Banking or SWIFT message processing knowledge will be advantage.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Relevant experience, typically 1+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
• Basic coding and debugging skills
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
• Strong problem-solving mindset
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the field

Other Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
• Relevant certifications or training a plus
