DXC Technology is seeking an API Developer to design and implement REST APIs using Spring MVC and Spring Boot in Java. The role requires solid Java/J2EE and Spring framework experience, with microservices and Swagger in the stack.

You will work with Maven/Gradle, Git, and IDEs (Eclipse/Visual Studio), following SOLID/DI principles, and contribute in an Agile, global team. AWS exposure is a plus, helping DXC deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years programming experience in Java 1.8, J2EE, Spring Framework 4.x(Core, MVC, REST, HATEOAS), Microservices, Swagger, JUnit, Mockito, Hibernate/MyBatis.
• Hands-on experience with Maven, Ant or Gradle build tools.
• Hands-on experience with IDEs like Eclipse, Visual Studio.
• Excellent debugging and coding skills.
• Knowledge of design patterns and principles like SOLID, Singleton, Dependency Injection.
• Understanding REST API Development using Spring or similar framework.
• Experience with AWS is a plus.
• Experience with Git and Agile development practices.
• Experience building high-performance, reusable applications.
• Strong communication and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, works well in global team.

Job Description

• 1. API Developer should be able to develop REST API using Spring MVC, Spring Boot in Java.


• 2. Have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.


• 3. At least 2 – 5 programming experience in Java 1.8, J2EE, Spring Framework 4.x(Core, MVC, REST, HATEOAS), Microservices, Swagger, Junit, Mockito, Hibernate/MyBatis.


• 4. Hands on experience in one of the build tools like Maven, Ant or gradle is required


• 5. Hands on experience with IDEs like Eclipse, Visual Studio is required


• 6. Excellent debugging and coding skills are desirable


• 7. Well aware of design patterns and design principles like SOLID, Singleton, Dependency Injection etc.


• 8. Understanding of REST API Development using Spring or any other framework is a must.


• 9. Experience with cloud technologies like AWS will be an added advantage.


• 10. Experience in code integration repository like GIT and Agile Development Practices


• 11. Experience implementing high-performance, reusable application development is required


• 12. Demonstrate effective communication as a member of a development team, ensuring understanding of both verbal and written material.


• 13. Have good analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience gathering and analyzing information for the development of effective solutions to problems or situations. Can solve complex problems quickly.


• 14. Be a self-motivated individual who works well in a global team environment.
