Job summary

Emerson in India is seeking an Application Engineer to support bid management by selecting valves, sizing actuators, and pricing isolation valve products and associated field equipment based on customer requirements.

You will collaborate with internal teams and customers to deliver optimal solutions, prepare quotations with deadlines, and provide pre-sales and technical support across partners and distributors. CRM data maintenance and DOA-compliant proposal submissions are also expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Chemical Engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with internal and external customers to understand requirements and propose effective, application-based solutions.
• Prepare and submit high-quality quotations on time in coordination with business development managers, sales teams, legal, PMO, and factory teams.
• Provide pre-sales and technical support to customers, partners, and distributors.
• Participate in pre- and post-order technical discussions with sales, PMO, product management, and business stakeholders where applicable.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
• Review project requirements carefully and seek clarification or approvals from relevant stakeholders prior to submitting proposals.
• Ensure timely offer submissions while adhering to Delegation of Authority (DOA) compliance processes.
• Effectively manage priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
