Job summary

Prolim is seeking a pre-sales engineer to demonstrate SolidWorks CAD solutions and guide customers through design workflows. You will perform POCs, provide technical support, and help customers select appropriate SolidWorks modules while collaborating with the sales team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on SolidWorks 3D CAD experience, strong communication, and the ability to translate technical details into customer value.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD.
• Experience in Part Modeling, Assembly Modeling and Sheet Metal.
• Familiarity with Drawings & GD&T and CAM is a plus.
• Knowledge of CAD data exchange formats like STEP, IGES, Parasolid, DXF/DWG.
• Experience with SolidWorks PDM is preferred.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations of SolidWorks CAD solutions.
• Understand customer design workflows and recommend SolidWorks solutions.

• Participate in seminars, webinars, technical events, and customer meetings.
• Stay updated with new SolidWorks releases, features, and industry trends.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD.

• Good understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, casting, and plastic design.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Experience with SolidWorks PDM is preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD data exchange formats such as STEP, IGES, Parasolid, and DXF/DWG.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to interact directly with customers and deliver technical solutions.
• Experience with SolidWorks Simulation, Motion, Flow Simulation, or Composer.
• Exposure to CAD migration projects.
• Knowledge of PDM/PLM concepts.
• Basic understanding of APIs or automation using VBA, C#, or SolidWorks API is an advantage.
• Familiarity with CAM or manufacturing software is a plus.
