Job summary

VISTRA is seeking an Application Consultant to lead end‑to‑end HRMS implementations, including configuration, testing, and post‑support. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams to translate requirements into system configurations and drive user adoption.

You will run workshops, provide guidance on system capabilities, and manage expectations while ensuring projects meet scope, quality, and timelines. Prior experience with HRMS is preferred and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/BI/HR or related discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in software implementation or HR systems consulting.
• Experience in HRMS/HCM implementations and client-facing projects.

Job description

The Application Consultant is responsible for the end-to-end project implementation, configuration, testing, and post support of Human Resource Management System (HRMS) solutions for clients. The role involves working closely with internal & external stakeholders to understand business requirements, translating requirements into system configurations, conducting workshops/trainings, supporting testing activities, and ensuring successful system adoption.

The Application Consultant serves as a trusted advisor to clients and collaborates with consulting managers, project managers, technical consultants, and project stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and according to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Implementation

• Participate in HR system implementation projects from initiation to go-live.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through workshops and stakeholder interviews.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend best-practice solutions.
• Configure HR application modules according to approved requirements.
• Prepare functional specification documents and solution design documentation.

Client Engagement

• Facilitate requirement gathering and solution design workshops.
• Provide professional advice on system capabilities.
• Manage client expectations and communicate project progress effectively.
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and project teams.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues and defects.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet business and compliance requirements.

Training & Deployment

• Conduct end-user and administrator training sessions.
• Create user guides, training materials, and system documentation.
• Support cutover activities and production deployment.
• Provide post-go-live support and issue resolution.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Human Resources, or related discipline.

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of experience in software implementation, business applications, or HR systems consulting.
• Experience in HRMS/HCM implementations is preferred.
• Experience in managing client-facing projects and workshops.
• Familiarity with HR business processes is an advantage.
