Job summary

EXL is seeking an experienced Appian Architect/Lead with 12+ years in IT and 8+ years in Appian leadership. The candidate will work hands-on with Appian 22.x+, including Sites, Records, Interfaces, Process Models, and Web APIs & Integration.

They will drive architecture, design scalable components, enforce best practices, and lead integration efforts with external systems while mentoring teams and ensuring secure deployments through CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12-18+ years IT experience with at least 8+ years as Appian Architect/Lead.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on with Appian 22.x+ including Sites, Records, Interfaces, Process Models, Web APIs & Integration, AI Skills and RPA.
• Experience in Appian plug‑in development using Java and integration with external systems.
• Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and query performance tuning.
• Expertise in designing scalable and reusable application components.
• Strong knowledge of Appian best practices, performance optimization, and security guidelines.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment for Appian applications (e.g., Jenkins, Git, ANT scripts).
• Appian Lead Developer (L3) certified.
