Job summary

UST is seeking a Senior Appian Architect to lead the architectural direction of our Appian platform in Chennai, India. You will set standards, drive governance, and guide enterprise integrations while mentoring delivery teams.

You will design scalable Appian solutions using SAIL, Data Fabric, and Records, oversee API-based integrations, and push for performance optimization and platform health checks as part of the CoE.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Appian development and architecture experience.
• Appian Lead Architect Certification (Level 3) or equivalent advanced Appian certification.
• Deep expertise in SAIL Interface Design, Process Modeling, Records & Record Types, Data Fabric, Appian Web APIs, Process Reports & Dashboards, Appian Sites and Portals.
• Strong knowledge of Appian architecture patterns, governance frameworks, and reusable component design.
• Experience establishing development standards, guardrails, and review processes.
• Extensive experience integrating Appian with REST APIs, SOAP Services, JSON/XML, and Web Services.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Appian Architect to lead the architecture, governance, scalability, and technical strategy of our Appian platform. The ideal candidate will provide architectural leadership, establish development standards, drive enterprise integrations, and ensure optimal platform performance while mentoring delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise-wide Appian architecture, solution design standards, and development best practices.
• Design scalable Appian applications leveraging Appian Records, Data Fabric, Process Models, and SAIL.
• Lead integrations between Appian and enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, APIs, web services, and middleware platforms.
• Drive platform performance optimization, application health checks, and architecture reviews.
• Manage platform upgrades, environment strategy, security, deployment, and release governance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, architecture reviews, and mentor Appian developers and leads.
• Champion Appian Center of Excellence (CoE) practices and platform governance.
