Job summary

Triotex International Private Limited is seeking an Apparel Designer - Workwear & Uniforms to design and develop industrial workwear, uniforms and related apparel products. You will collaborate with merchandising, sampling, CAD and production teams to translate customer requirements into production-ready designs and technical documentation.

Triotex International Private Limited is looking for an Apparel Designer - Workwear & Uniforms to design and develop industrial workwear, uniforms and related apparel products. The role will work closely with the merchandising, sampling, CAD and production teams to convert customer requirements and new product ideas into clear, production-ready designs and technical documentation.

Mandatory software requirement:

Strong practical working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is mandatory. The candidate must be able to independently create accurate 2D garment flats / technical sketches, colourways, label artwork, branding placements and other visuals required for tech-pack preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Create original apparel concepts, garment designs and product variations for workwear, uniforms and healthcare apparel.
• Prepare accurate 2D technical garment sketches / flats in Adobe Illustrator.
• Create and maintain complete tech packs including garment sketches, colourways, construction details, measurements, BOM references, trim details, branding placements and artwork instructions.
• Work with merchandisers and sampling teams to develop new products from initial concept through sample approval and production readiness.
• Understand basic garment construction and pattern principles so designs are practical, manufacturable and suitable for production.
• Coordinate with CAD / pattern teams on fit, silhouettes, construction details and design changes.
• Create label artwork, size labels, care labels, branding graphics, print / embroidery placement artwork and other product-related graphics.
• Prepare catalogue graphics, product presentations, brochures, line sheets and other visual material required by merchandising and sales teams.
• Support product photography, image editing and visual presentation requirements where needed.
• Develop colour combinations, trims, reflective tape layouts, pocket configurations and functional details suited to industrial and uniform applications.
• Maintain organised design files, revisions, artwork approvals and technical documentation for each product.
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders through email, phone and WhatsApp as required.

Required skills and experience

• Education or practical experience in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Garment Technology, Textile Design or a related field.
• Strong practical working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is mandatory.
• Ability to independently create clean, accurate 2D garment sketches / technical flats in Adobe Illustrator for tech-pack development.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW or equivalent graphic-design software.
• Ability to independently prepare or substantially contribute to production-ready tech packs.
• Basic understanding of garment patterns, garment construction, measurements, seams, pockets, trims and manufacturing feasibility.
• Understanding of fabrics, trims, colourways and garment detailing.
• Ability to create labels, branding artwork and catalogue / presentation graphics.
• Strong creativity combined with practical attention to production requirements.
• Good communication and ability to work collaboratively with merchandisers, CAD, sampling, production and quality teams.

Preferred experience

• Previous experience designing workwear, uniforms, hospital garments, technical apparel, PPE-related garments or functional clothing.
• Experience with CLO 3D or other 3D apparel design software will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of social-media creatives, product photography or digital content will be an added advantage.
