Job summary

Siya Digitex is seeking a skilled garment designer to develop new fashion collections aligned with market trends. The role involves crafting concepts, sketches, fabric and trim selection, and producing technical packs for production.

The candidate should have 2–5 years of garment design experience, with a diploma or degree in fashion/apparel design. Proficiency in CorelDRAW, Illustrator, and Photoshop is preferred, along with strong communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Fashion/Apparel/Textile design is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, prints, colors, and garment construction.

Responsibilities

• Develop new garment designs and fashion collections per market trends.
• Create design concepts, sketches, and garment styles.
• Select fabrics, colors, prints, trims, and accessories.
• Prepare tech packs, design specs, and measurement details.
• Coordinate with pattern master and sampling team for samples.
• Review samples and suggest changes in fit, styling, fabric, finishing.

• Research current fashion trends, colors, fabrics, and market developments.
• Coordinate with production, merchandising, and quality teams.
• Ensure designs are production-ready and meet quality standards.
• Modify designs based on feedback and approvals.
• Maintain design files, samples, references, and collection records.
• Aid team in developing commercial and export-quality garments.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of garment design and fashion trends.
• Good understanding of fabrics, prints, colors, and garment construction.
• Knowledge of pattern making and garment fitting is preferred.
• Good knowledge of fashion design software such as CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar.
• Creative thinking and strong sense of fashion and styling.
• Ability to develop commercially viable designs.
• Good communication and coordination skills

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in garment/fashion designing preferred.

Diploma/Degree in Fashion Designing, Apparel Designing, Textile Designing, or related field preferred.
