Job summary

Leegality is hiring a QA Automation Engineer to test backend APIs and frontend interfaces, ensuring robust digital document workflows used by leading Indian businesses. You will design test scenarios, automate REST API tests with Postman/Swagger, and contribute to CI/CD practices in a hybrid work setup.

3-4 years of API testing experience is expected, with proficiency in Java or Python and tools like Selenium for UI testing. Join a mission-critical product used across India.

Requirements

• Working with product design with our full-stack team of developers and a product manager.


• Preparing test scenarios based on feature acceptance criteria.


• Writing automation tests for backend APIs and frontend.


• Documenting test processes and results.


• 3-4 years of experience in the testing API Testing.


• Knowledge in REST API Testing and automation and exposure to tools like SOAP UI, Postman or Swagger.


• Demonstrated experience in testing REST APIs using Postman or a similar tool. Strong experience with API testing (REST API)


• Proficiency in, at least one programming language ( Java, Python)


• Hands on experience in various tools like Postman, Swagger, Rest assured, Jmeter, load runner.


• Experience in Scrum - agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes (CI/CD Pipeline).


• Responsible for understanding, designing, and writing test scenarios and test cases; updating test cases based on the requirement changes.


• Ability to design and code complex test cases and to code (or contribute code to) frameworks which simplify test development and automation


• Selenium or other automated UI testing tools.


• Experience of writing high-level test plans or QA strategy documents.


• An Understanding of what the QA function looks like when looking at Micro-services, Continuous Integration and Continuous deployment.


• Good knowledge on Agile methodologies and experience working in scrum teams.
