Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a L2 Support API Developer to support our daily API operations, handle technical incident triage, and maintain platform health. This role involves functional troubleshooting, system maintenance, and supporting Java/Spring Boot API configurations to ensure uninterrupted business services.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Maintenance: Monitor system health, execute routine maintenance, and ensure the operational readiness of the API platform.
• Incident Management: Acknowledge, triage, and resolve L2 API incidents and support tickets.
• Problem & Change Management: Assist in identifying recurring issues and deploying approved configuration or code changes.
• Development Support: Read, troubleshoot, and support existing Java and Spring Boot integrations.

Technical Skills Requirements

Must-Have Skills

• Container Platform experience: Linux fundamentals, Docker/Podman concepts, Kubernetes basics (Pods, Namespaces), YAML/JSON proficiency.
• Identity & Access Management experience: Basic understanding of OAuth 2.0 / OIDC, LDAP concepts, and HTTP/TLS fundamentals.
• API Management & Design experience: REST API fundamentals, API security (API keys, scopes), Usage policies/quotas.
• Apicurio (Studio & Registry) experience: OpenAPI 3.x reading/reviewing, JSON Schema basics.
• Microcks (Mocking & Contract Testing) experience: REST API patterns, experience with Postman or SoapUI for testing endpoints.
• Integration & Messaging experience: Java working knowledge, basic message routing concepts, REST/SOAP web services.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Containers/DevOps: CI/CD pipeline exposure, Observability (metrics, logging).
• IAM: Keycloak/Entra ID exposure, MFA concepts.
• API Mgmt: OpenShift deployment exposure, API gateway concepts.
• Apicurio & Microcks: Messaging fundamentals (RabbitMQ/Kafka), API contract testing.
• Integration: Maven build tooling, Spring Boot experience, ActiveMQ.

Additional Information

• - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Red Hat 3scale API Management.
• - This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
• - A 15 years full time education is required.
