Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru is seeking an API QA professional with 6+ years of experience to validate REST/SOAP APIs, design test cases, and build automation scripts. You will work closely with developers, BAs, and DevOps to ensure high-quality API delivery.

Required skills include Postman, SOAP UI, Swagger, REST Assured, Karate, JMeter, SQL, and a strong grasp of JSON/XML schemas; immediate to 90 days notice periods acceptable.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing, developing, and executing test cases for REST/SOAP APIs.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman, SOAP UI, Swagger, REST Assured, Karate, JMeter.
• Validate API responses using assertions for payloads, status codes, headers, and schemas.
• Build and manage Postman/API collections to support automated and manual test workflows.
• Knowledge of JSON, XML, XPath, XSD, and schemas.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of APIs.
• Knowledge of SQL and ability to validate backend data.
• Create and maintain API automation scripts using industry-standard tools.
