Job summary

UST in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Android WiFi Platform Engineer to develop, integrate, and debug WiFi functionality across Android platforms, including AOSP, WiFi framework, HAL, supplicant, hostapd, and Linux kernel.

You will analyze Android and kernel logs, engage with platform, connectivity, hardware, and system teams to resolve issues, support chipset bring-up, and ensure robust connectivity across devices. Proficiency in C/C++, TCP/IP, and 802.11 protocols is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in C/C++.
• Deep understanding of Android architecture and AOSP.
• Experience with WiFi stack from framework to HAL, supplicant, and driver layers.
• Experience with wpa_supplicant and hostapd.
• Linux kernel and device driver knowledge.
• Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP and 802.11 protocols.
• Hands-on debugging skills across Android logs, kernel logs, and driver-level traces.
• Knowledge of AIDL/HIDL interfaces.
