Job summary

Benison Technologies Private Limited is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer in Bengaluru to design and develop software for embedded platforms. You will work on Linux kernel modules, device drivers, and networking components in a cross-functional, globally distributed team.

The role requires strong C/C++ skills, experience with Yocto/Buildroot/CMake, and familiarity with CI/CD practices. Excellent English communication is essential for collaboration with international teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in C and/or C++.
• Understanding of embedded build systems such as Yocto, Buildroot, or CMake.
• Experience with Linux internals, kernel modules, and device driver development.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills (GDB, logs, packet captures).
• Experience working in cross-functional, remote, or international teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Preferred: Qualcomm or Mediatek reference platforms, wireless tech (Wi‑Fi, 802.11), SoC bring-up, CI/CD (Jenkins), Git, Jira, OpenWRT, RDK-B.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and system test suites.
