Job summary

Job description

Wifi Engineer with experience in 802.11 and Linux device driver.

Responsibilities

• WiFi driver/firmware feature development.
• Software development under Linux/RTOS environment.
• Debug and resolve WiFi protocol/certification issues.
• Contribute and develop for latest IEEE 802.11 and WFA specifications.
• Support front‑line engineers and debug customer issues.
• Build script and makefile maintenance.
• 5–10% travel requirement.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of 802.11 and good communication skills.
• Good networking knowledge of TCP/IP.
• Ability to multitask assignments and work according to defined priorities.
• Ability to work with customers and multi‑geographic teams.
• Sound knowledge of Linux device‑driver development; especially network device drivers and how TCP/IP stack interacts with the driver under various OSes.
• Strong hold of "C" programming and expertise in RTOS concepts, with a deep understanding of system primitives.
• Ability to identify driver synchronization issues between different threads and between application and kernel space.
• Strong working knowledge of interrupt handling, DMA/Cache/SMP issues in device drivers.
• Ability to identify bottlenecks in driver performance and propose solutions to reduce CPU utilization and improve data throughput.
• Strong knowledge of embedded OSes such as Linux and Android.
• Knowledge of host buses like SDIO, SPI, USB & PCIe.
• WPA Supplicant knowledge is a plus.
• Open‑source development experience is a plus.
• Experience with automotive middleware, Qualcomm/Samsung/Nvidia platforms, Open Synergy/QNX/GENIVI, and familiarity with CAN is a plus.
