Job summary

Sasken Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Android Framework Developer to work on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). You will design, customize, and optimize framework components, HALs, and system services for next-generation Android-based products.

Applicants should have strong C/C++ or Java/Kotlin skills, hands-on AOSP experience, and a solid understanding of Android architecture, Binder IPC, and kernel interactions. This role is full-time and on-site in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of hands-on Android Framework/AOSP development experience.
• Strong in C/C++ or Java/Kotlin with Android architecture knowledge.
• Experience modifying and building Android source code (AOSP).
• Understanding of Soong/Make/Gradle build systems.
• Familiarity with Binder IPC, HAL, and System Services.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Android Framework components within AOSP.
• Work on Android Platform layers including Framework, HAL, System Services, Native Services, and Linux Kernel interactions.
• Customize and integrate Android OS features based on product requirements.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve system-level issues across Android stack.
• Develop and optimize Android services, libraries, and middleware components.
• Collaborate with BSP, Kernel, Application, and Product Engineering teams.
• Perform performance tuning, memory optimization, and boot-time improvements.
• Work on Android security features, permissions, SELinux policies, and system stability.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and design documentation.

About the Role

Educational Qualification
