Job summary

Pi Square Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Android Framework Developer with deep expertise in Android OS architecture, HAL, and low-level system integration. You will contribute to developing, debugging, and integrating core Android framework components with hardware interfaces.

Responsibilities include Android HAL development and integration, working across the Framework, Native Libraries, and Linux Kernel layers, and delivering robust system services using C/C++ and Java.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on Android Framework/Platform development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Android OS architecture, HAL, and Linux kernel layers.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Java for system-level components.
• Experience with AIDL/HIDL, Binder IPC, and Android Open Source Project (AOSP).

The candidate should have hands-on experience developing, debugging, and integrating Android framework components with hardware-level interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Android Framework components and system services.
• Work on Android HAL development, integration, and debugging.
• Understand and work with Android OS architecture, including Framework, Native Libraries, HAL, and Linux Kernel layers.
• Develop and debug system-level components using C/C++ and Java.
• Work with AIDL/HIDL interfaces for communication between Android Framework and HAL.
• Debug issues across Android Framework, HAL, and kernel layers.
• Analyze Android logs, crashes, ANRs, and system performance issues.
• Collaborate with hardware, kernel, BSP, and application teams for system integration.
• Work with Android Open Source Project (AOSP), build systems, and platform customization.

Required Skills
