Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an ETO Technical Writer to support the 3PH Line of Business. You will bridge business requirements, data governance and technical alignment to ensure high-quality product and engineering data across external assets.

The role requires strong technical writing, analytical thinking, stakeholder management and collaboration with global teams. You will handle installation, configuration and operation manuals, release notes and product sheets for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred Electrical or Electronics).
  • 2–4 years of experience in technical writing, engineering documentation, or related disciplines.
  • Strong experience translating complex business requirements into technical documentation and specifications.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams.
  • High level of attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Generate documents that communicate installation, configuration and operation of ETO 3PH line of Secure Power products, including manuals, release notes and product sheets.
  • Collaborate with engineering, R&D, testing, and product management to ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Work independently on project basis and with other technical writers in Data Center Systems team.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, BOM details, and test/qualification reports for inputs.
  • Ensure documentation complies with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and localization needs.
  • Manage version control, documentation releases, and updates with product lifecycle milestones.
  • Drive continuous improvement of documentation processes, templates, and workflows.
  • Produce final documentation, including new image creation.

Position Summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a highly motivated ETO Technical Writer to support our 3PH Line of Business (LoB) organizations. This role bridges business requirements, data governance, and technical alignment, to ensure high-quality, trusted product and engineering data across our external facing assets.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving end-to-end traceability between technical specifications, technical manuals, technical images, development activities, and external alignment. This position requires strong technical writing, analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and data governance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate documents that communicate the installation, configuration and operation of ETO 3PH line of Secure Power products.This includes but is not limited to, User and Operational Manuals for technical audiences, Release Notes, and Product Specification Sheets.
  • Collaborate with engineering, R&D, testing, and product management teams to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy and completeness
  • Work independently on a project basis while also collaborating with other technical writers within the Data Center Systems team
