Job summary

UPL Limited is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Payable specialist in Maharashtra to manage vendor payments and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires handling domestic and international payments, validating invoices, and supporting month‑end close with ERP systems (SAP) and strong MS Excel skills.

You will work with vendors and internal stakeholders, maintain accurate documentation for audits, and contribute to process improvements while upholding SOX controls and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Payment Processing.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Excel.
  • Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process vendor payments (domestic and international) on time.
  • Validate payment proposals and ensure invoice accuracy and tax compliance.
  • Monitor payment runs and troubleshoot ERP errors.
  • Handle urgent and manual payment requests with proper approvals.
  • Reconcile payment accounts and maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure SOX compliance and assist month-end close activities related to payments.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process vendor payments (domestic and international) in accordance with agreed timelines and company guidelines.
  • Validate payment proposals and ensure accuracy of invoices, tax compliance, and approvals.
  • Monitor payment runs and troubleshoot errors in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Handle urgent and manual payment requests while adhering to approval workflows.
  • Reconcile payment accounts and maintain accurate documentation for audit purposes.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and company policies during payment processing.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to payments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Payment Processing.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Excel.
