TIAA Global Capabilities in Mumbai, India is seeking an experienced Finance Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable professional to administer and ensure compliance with AP/AR processes. You'll verify invoices, postings, and payments, support monthly closes, and collaborate with the collections team to restructure overdue accounts.

This role requires 3+ years in AP/AR, strong accounting knowledge, and the ability to work under limited supervision while upholding corporate policies and timelines.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable/accounts receivable and general accounting.
  • Knowledge of invoice verification, cash receipts, and payment terms.
  • Experience with monthly/quarterly close processes and postings.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies accuracy of invoices, shipping documents, customer credit, and payment terms.
  • Confirms all cash payments, cash receipts and outstanding balances to keep records accurate.
  • Enforces timely processing and payment of invoices and ensures statements are correctly recorded.
  • Conducts payment processes and ensures timely postings.
  • Performs monthly and quarterly close and consolidation processes for accuracy.
  • Sends follow-up inquiries and negotiates on overdue invoices per policies.
  • Works on Airplus journal postings.
  • Provides assistance to extended team to ensure timely project completion.

Job description

The Finance Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable job administers and ensures compliance with accounts payable/receivable processes including assessment of invoice/payment discrepancies.

Under limited supervision, this job reconciles and verifies all account balances and collaborates with the collections team on the restructuring of overdue accounts repayment.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Verifies accuracy of invoices, shipping documents, customer credit, and payment terms.
  • Confirms all cash payments, cash receipts and outstanding account balances to maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Enforces timely and accurate processing and payment of invoices to confirm that statements are correctly recorded.
  • Conducts payment processes and ensures postings are done in right and timely manner.
  • Performs monthly and quarterly close and consolidation processes to ensure timely completion and accuracy.
  • Sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due invoices, ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Works on Airplus journal postings
  • Provides assistance to extended team to ensure high-quality and timely completion of projects.
Educational Requirements

Vocational and/or Technical Education Preferred
