Zusammenfassung

Nuveen seeks a Director - Accounting General to lead general accounting services, including GL, cash flow, budgeting, and reporting for fund operations. You will ensure adherence to IFRS and GAAP, supervise accounting staff, and collaborate with external accountants, fund administrators, and legal teams.

You will drive process improvements, support investor queries, and partner with finance, tax, product, and technology to deliver accurate financial statements and timely insights for decision

Qualifikationen

  • University degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of work experience required; 10+ years preferred.
  • Experience in accounting, fund finance, and IFRS/GAAP reporting.

Aufgaben

  • Ensure accounting policies and practices are followed; collaborate with external accountants, fund administrators, valuation firms, and legal.
  • Collaborate with product, legal and tax teams to support launches and fund-raising; review terms and fund strategy; engage suppliers; and perform financing due diligence from a fund finance perspective.
  • Ensure timely management of investor queries, analysis, and reporting.
  • Develop and mentor accounting staff to ensure delivery of accurate products and professional growth.
  • Direct resolution of operational and accounting matters including fund rebalancing, investment transactions, and financing/derivative programs.
  • Design and oversee efficient processes for preparing financial statements and investor reporting with high data accuracy and integrity.
  • Reporting is provided in accordance with IFRS and other GAAP.
  • Oversee budgeting, cash flow management, return calculations, and forecasting to provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to improve data quality, reporting, automation, and infrastructure by partnering with finance, accounting, and technology teams.
  • Support requests of Internal Audit, Compliance, and tax authorities.

Director - Accounting General - IN

In the role is responsible for providing general accounting services to clients, including cost accounting, cash flow, general ledger processing, reporting, and analysis of financial transactions of a business. The role is required to possess knowledge of bookkeeping methods with the objective of recording business transactions.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Ensures the accounting policies and practices of the organization are followed; working closely with external accountants, fund administrators, valuation firms, and legal.
  • Collaborates with multi-functional teams including product, legal and tax, to support the launch and fund raising efforts of new products and related operational needs, including but not limited to review of legal terms and fund strategy, engagement of suppliers, and financing and structure diligence from a fund finance perspective.
  • Ensures timely management of prospective investor queries, analysis, and reporting.
  • Manages and develops, either directly or indirectly, accounting staff providing regular feedback and mentoring to ensure delivery of exceptional products while fostering engagement and professional growth.
  • Directs the resolution of operational and accounting matters including fund rebalancing, investment transactions, and financing and derivative programs from a fund accounting, tax, and modelling viewpoint.
  • Designs and oversees efficient processes to support the preparation of financial statements and investor reporting (partner statements, quarterly reports, annual accounts, and ad hoc) with high standards of data accuracy and integrity.
  • Reporting is provided in accordance with IFRS and other GAAP covering a broad range of internal and external use.
  • Oversees the preparation of fund budgeting, cash flow management, return calculations, and financial forecasting and trends which provide actionable insights to finance and business teams for decision making.
  • Develops and executes initiatives to improve data quality, reporting, automation, and infrastructure by partnering with finance, accounting, and technology teams to strengthen processes and tools.
  • Supports requests of Internal Audit, Compliance, and tax authorities.
