Job summary
Invesco invites applications for an Analyst, Data Governance (Corporate Functions) to help build and sustain our data catalog, manage metadata quality, and support governance across global teams. This role emphasizes collaboration, training, and delivering metrics to drive data-driven decisions within a hybrid work model in India.
The ideal candidate will have up to 3 years in data roles, a postgraduate degree, and familiarity with metadata management.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree; IT/finance certifications preferred.
- 0–3 years in data role, preferably in financial services.
- Understanding of metadata and its importance in business processes.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and industry practices (preferred).
- Understanding of data modeling and data entity relationships.
- Experience with metadata management tools (preferred; training available).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business teams to create and maintain the data catalog.
- Monitor and manage metadata for accuracy and updates.
- Assist with data cataloging, profiling, lineage, and data quality.
- Provide guidance and training on Metadata Dictionary and Taxonomy.
- Produce metrics and management reports on metadata usage and quality.
- Complete special projects to support departmental needs.
- Solve problems and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain documentation and ensure knowledge retention.
- Handle escalations related to metadata processes.
- Support GIDS leadership in meeting team objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Stay informed about changes in the broader data landscape and provide insights to GIDS management.
