Job summary

Invesco hires an Analyst, Data Governance (Corporate Functions) to work on metadata management, data cataloging, profiling, and quality initiatives across the organization.

Ideal candidates bring up to 3 years in a data role with knowledge of metadata and data modeling. The role offers a flexible, hybrid work model and exposure to global financial services processes.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in a data role, preferably in financial services.
• Understanding of metadata and its importance in business processes.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and industry practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business teams to create and maintain the data catalog.
• Monitor and manage metadata to ensure accuracy and ongoing updates.
• Assist with data cataloging, profiling, lineage, and data quality processes.
• Provide guidance on accessing and using the Metadata Dictionary and Taxonomy.
• Produce metrics and management reporting related to metadata usage and content quality.
• Complete special projects to support departmental needs.
• Maintain documentation and ensure knowledge retention.
• Handle escalations related to metadata processes.
• Support leadership in meeting team objectives and strategic initiatives.

Your Role

Analyst, Data Governance (Corporate Functions)

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business teams to create and maintain the data catalog.
• Monitor and manage metadata to ensure accuracy and ongoing updates.
• Assist with data cataloging, profiling, lineage, and data quality processes.
• Provide guidance and training to employees on accessing and using the Metadata Dictionary and Taxonomy.
• Produce metrics and management reporting related to metadata usage and content quality.
• Complete special projects as assigned to support departmental needs.
• Solve problems and make recommendations for improving process complexities.
• Maintain documentation and ensure knowledge retention.
• Handle and manage escalations related to metadata processes.
• Support GIDS leadership in meeting team objectives and strategic initiatives.
• Stay informed about changes in the broader data landscape and provide insights to GIDS management.

Experience you bring

• 0–3 years of experience in a data role, preferably in financial services.
• Understanding of metadata and its importance in business and IT processes.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and industry practices (preferred).
• Understanding of data modeling and data entity relationships.
• Experience with metadata management tools (preferred; training available).

Skills Required

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical skills with ability to model relationships between data entities.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Analytical skills for interpreting data and producing reports.

Educational Qualifications

• Postgraduate (PG) degree.
• IT and finance‑related certifications preferred.
