Job summary

Nasdaq Technology is seeking a diligent Analyst for Client Managed Services in Mumbai. You will support Calypso-based Cloud services, liaising with global clients on Front Office, Treasury, and Risk modules, and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operation.

The role requires 1+ year in capital markets, strong English communication, and knowledge of lifecycle events from pricing to settlement. Calypso experience and optional exposure to Murex/Finastra/Aladdin help.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in the Capital Markets sector.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of financial products and lifecycle processes including pricing, settlement and risk.
  • P&L reporting, including attribution and key concepts.
  • Understanding of Risk, Pricing, analytics Front and Back-office reporting.
  • Settlement processing, book structure, accounting, trade lifecycle events, collateral management and related static data.
  • Master’s degree in Finance (preferably) or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line functional support to clients, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Calypso.
  • Direct communication with cloud clients using Calypso modules for Front Office, Treasury, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Accounting, etc.
  • Investigate operational issues reported by Client’s users and propose fixes to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide advice related to Client implementation of Calypso and perform configuration changes as approved.
  • Check execution results of scheduled tasks and supervise exceptions related to real-time interfaces.
  • Analyze root causes of failures or exceptions and detail possible solutions.
  • Proactively suggest ways to improve customers' usage of the application.
  • For software defects, create a helpdesk ticket with a test case and collaborate with Product Support on fixes.

As a Analyst - Client Managed Services - Business Services, you would provide first-line functional support to clients, troubleshooting and resolving reported issues in a timely and professional manner. Roles & Responsibilities
  • Join the Support organization, has been providing Cloud clients with secure and reliable services around Calypso solution. Cloud Managed Services provide additional business services to our Cloud clients to help them achieve maximum business value from the application. Our clients and team are based around the globe and demand for Cloud Managed Services is growing fast.
  • Direct communication with cloud clients using Calypso modules for their daily activities: Front Office, Treasury, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Accounting etc.
  • Investigate operational issues reported by Client’s users. Suggest how to resolve an issue and how to prevent its reoccurrence.
  • Provide advice relating to Client implementation of Calypso.
  • Following approval, make changes to functional configuration of the system.
  • Check the execution (success, failures) of scheduled tasks.
  • Supervise the exceptions related to real-time interfaces.
  • Analyze & identify the root cause of failures/exceptions and detail the possible solutions.
  • Proactively look for ways to improve customers usage of the application.
  • In case of software defect, build helpdesk ticket including a test case that explains the issue; demonstrate the issue to Product Support team if needed.
  • Prioritise for the deployment of a hotfix into a test environment.
  • Perform pre-validation testing of hotfixes or config changes in Client’s test environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience in the Capital Markets sector (Business Analyst, Operations).
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of financial products (Fixed Income, Equity and Interest Rate Derivatives, Commodities, FX Spot and Forward, Corporate action, Structured Products, Cash/Treasury, Futures and Options) including how they are priced, settled and managed during their lifecycle.
  • P&L reporting, including attribution and key concepts.
  • Understanding of Risk, Pricing, analytics Front and Back-office reporting.
  • Settlement processing, book structure, accounting, trade lifecycle events, collateral management and related static data.
  • Master’s degree in Finance (preferably), Mathematics, Business, Computer Science or I.T.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CFA, IMC or CISI qualified or other post graduate finance qualification.
  • Calypso knowledge would be a strong advantage (you will receive Calypso training and will be expected to pass your Calypso certification).
  • Other application knowledge e.g. Murex, Finastra (Summit, Kondor+), Aladdin, SimCorp.
  • Proficiency using Bloomberg Terminal.
  • Market data sources (e.g. Bloomberg SAPI, Data License).
  • Knowledge of 3rd party systems e.g. MarkIt, Omgeo, SWIFT, Acadiasoft.
  • Knowledge of regulations impacting investment banks and asset managers.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
