Job summary

MosChip in Hyderabad, India, seeks a senior layout engineer to lead a small team (3–4) of custom layout engineers, act as focal point with customers, and help drive analog layout projects.

You should have strong expertise in analog layouts (PLL, DLL, LNA, VGA, ADC, LDO), PDK maintenance, SKILL programming, and verification with Calibre/Assura; mentoring and clear documentation are essential. Proficiency with Virtuoso and related layout tools is required.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech / ME/M.Tech with 4–8 years of experience in layout design.
• Strong expertise in analog layouts such as PLL, DLL, LNA, VGA, ADC, LDO.
• Experience in PDKs, SKILL programming, and layout verification.
• Proficient in Layout Design concepts and physical verification.
• Ability to mentor layout engineers and interface with customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3–4 custom layout engineers.
• Act as focal point with customers and coordinate project deliverables.
• Maintain and evaluate PDKs and adopt new tools/flows.
• Apply strong layout concepts and ensure quality in tape-out.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document plans clearly.

BE/B.Tech /ME/M.Tech 4 years to 8 years

• He/She should be able to act as focal point with customers, work and lead a team of 3-4 customlayoutengineers onanaloglayout, physical verification, maintaining PDKs, ealuating them. The candidates should have a strong expertise in some criticallayouts such as PLL, DLL, LNA, VGA, ADC, LDO. He/She should be able to adapt to new technologies/tools/flows pretty quickly.
• Expertise in CustomLayoutStandard Cells, I/O or specialanalogdesigns such as RF transceivers, LNA, VGA, PLL, DLL, LDO, Bandgap, VCO, ADC,DAC.
• StrongLayoutDesign Concepts.
• Experience in Pcell development, maintaining and modifying PDKs.
• Experience inLayoutDesign tools such as Virtuoso, Virtuoso-XL.
• Expertise in SKILL Programming Language.
• Experience in Physical verification.
• Exposure to Calibre, Hercules and Assura.
• Exposure to digital place route.
• Should be able to mentorlayoutengineers and act as focal point with customers.
• Good understanding ofAnalogDesign.
• Strong basics in process technology, fabrication techniques.
• Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to clearly document plans.
