Job summary

Kohler India is seeking an AM - Data Analyst in Pune to lead Power BI development and data automation initiatives for the purchasing function. The role requires 8–10 years of hands-on experience with BI tools, data modeling, and cloud data architectures, and involves mentoring junior analysts and coordinating with procurement teams.

You will design dashboards, implement governance, and integrate data across SQL Server, SharePoint, and Microsoft Fabric to deliver actionable procurement insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 8–10 years of hands‑on experience in Power BI development.
  • Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling; Power Automate
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric and its components.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Azure Synapse, and cloud data architecture.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Developing structured plans for procurement automation projects
  • Ability to ensure data quality, execute data strategies, and maintain accurate procurement records.
  • Experience in managing small teams or projects and leading them end to end.
  • Ability to guide junior analysts and coordinate with procurement teams
  • Skill in analyzing market trends to identify cost‑saving opportunities
  • Identifying inefficiencies and proposing structured solutions and drive projects.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, processes, and business needs.
  • Strong business acumen with a proactive, results oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports with emphasis on performance and usability.
  • Build robust data models using Power BI Desktop with relationships and calculated columns/measures using DAX.
  • Transform data using Power Query and integrate data from SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Implement row-level security, data refresh schedules, and manage Power BI workspaces.
  • Leverage Microsoft Fabric components like Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks for scalable data engineering.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, performance optimization, and visualization best practices.
  • Guide junior analysts and coordinate with procurement teams.
  • Ensure data quality, execute data strategies, and maintain accurate procurement records.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and workflows with Power Automate; configure connectors for ERP and SharePoint; monitor automation failures.
  • Prepare runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation for all solutions; ensure naming conventions and version control.

    • Power BI Development:

      • Implement row-level security, data refresh schedules, and manage Power BI workspaces effectively.
      • Leverage Microsoft Fabric components like Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks for scalable data engineering.
      • Ensure adherence to data governance, performance optimization, and visualization best practices.
      • Ability to guide junior analysts and coordinate with procurement teams
      • Ability to ensure data quality, execute data strategies, and maintain accurate procurement records.
    • Power Automate (Flow) Development:
      • Automate repetitive tasks and workflows
      • Configure connectors and triggers for ERP and SharePoint integration.
      • Monitor and troubleshoot automation failures .
    • Documentation & Governance:
      • Prepare runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation for all solutions.
      • Ensure compliance with naming conventions and version control.
    • Power App Developments :
      • Design, develop, and maintain Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps using Microsoft Power Apps.
      • Gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
      • Build and automate business processes using Power Automate workflows.
      • Integrate Power Apps with SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL Server, SAP APIs, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise systems.
      • Create user‑friendly forms, dashboards, and request portals to improve business efficiency.
