Job summary

Weekday (YC W21) is seeking a Mid-Senior BI Engineer to design and deliver Power BI solutions that drive actionable insights for clients in IT services. You will build scalable BI models, optimize performance, and ensure data governance across diverse data sources.

The role demands 7+ years of hands-on BI experience, strong SQL, DAX, and SSIS skills, and a track record of delivering enterprise-grade analytics projects. Pune/Bengaluru positions with full-time engagement are available.

Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI, SQL, and SSIS in BI engineering projects.
• Knowledge of SSAS/SSRS/SSIS and data modeling for BI solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Data Analytics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards.
• Build and optimize Analysis Services reporting models for tabular and multidimensional data.
• Connect to diverse data sources, transform data, and implement DAX calculations.
• Architect reporting solutions from wireframes and requirements into analytics solutions.
• Implement and manage row-level security and integrate with data governance.
• Optimize dashboard and query performance for large datasets.
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to design impactful visuals using Power BI features.
• Engage with stakeholders to deliver tailored analytics and client outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards to deliver actionable insights for business stakeholders
• Build and optimize Analysis Services reporting models, ensuring compatibility with data warehouse standards and supporting both tabular and multidimensional models
• Connect to diverse data sources, import and transform data for business intelligence, and implement advanced calculations using DAX to enhance reporting accuracy
• Architect reporting solutions based on client requirements, translating wireframes and requirement documents into scalable analytics solutions
• Implement and manage row-level security, integrating analytics with data governance, quality, and security platforms to ensure compliance and data protection
• Optimize dashboard and query performance to efficiently handle large and multiple datasets, ensuring timely delivery of analytics outputs
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to design impactful visualizations, leveraging Power BI product capabilities for enhanced user experience
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand business challenges, deliver tailored analytics solutions, and ensure high-quality client outputs
