Qualifications

• MBA Finance preferred or Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics or a related analytical field.
• 12–20 years of pricing analyst experience in a relevant industry.
• Experience in a commercial function of a logistics service provider is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Review customized pricing requests and evaluate inputs from the sales team.
• Create analytical reports for customized pricing requests.
• Maintain turnaround time to the sales team and ensure pricing approval flow.
• Develop and implement pricing strategies and models based on market research, benchmarking and cost analyses.
• Generate Monthly Profitability reports and dashboards highlighting top customers and collaboration with sales feedback.
• Prepare Monthly Compliance dashboard reports for new signed customers and track performance.
• Maintain and update internal and external price lists, carrier tariffs, fuel surcharges, and pricing databases.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
• Prepare and present pricing reports and dashboards to senior management and cross-functional teams.

Role Title: Manager – Pricing Analyst

Role Purpose:

The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring pricing strategies for the company’s express logistics services. This role requires a strong blend of financial acumen, data analysis expertise, and industry-specific knowledge to ensure competitive yet profitable pricing. The analyst will work closely with the sales, operations, and finance teams to leverage data-driven insights and optimize revenue and market share.

Key Accountability Area:

Customized Pricing Requests

• Review the pricing request and evaluate the inputs provided by the sales team
• Create analytical reports for the customized pricing request
• Maintain the turn‑around time to the sales team
• Pricing MOP to be followed for approval process
• Coordinate with the Implementation on the implementation the Customized Contract Rates in the Pricing system
• Ad-hoc/one time shipment rate request to be evaluated and approved depending on the financials

Pricing Strategy Development

• Develop and implement effective pricing strategies and models for various logistics services based on comprehensive market research, competitive situation, market rate benchmarking and cost analysis.

Revenue Management – Profitability report

• Generate and publish Monthly Profitability report and present to the Country Management team
• Prepare Dashboard to highlight the top customers of the country
• Collaborate the sales feedback on the top customers
• Strategize to improve Customer Profitability and track the activity
• Perform financial evaluations, including cost-benefit analysis, margin analysis, and profitability analysis, to assess the effectiveness of pricing actions and make data-driven recommendations.

Compliance report

• Prepare and publish Monthly Compliance dashboard report of new signed customers
• Tracking of the customer wise performance after signing up

Pre-Approved pricing Performance report

• Monthly sign-up performance of pre-approved pricing templates
• Performance of pre-approved pricing templates

Rate Management

• Maintain and regularly update internal and external price lists, carrier tariffs, fuel surcharges, and pricing databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity of all pricing information.

Market Intelligence

• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in trade regulations to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant.

Presentation & Communication

• Prepare and present detailed pricing reports, dashboards (using tools like Power BI or Tableau), and presentations to senior management and cross-functional teams.

Qualification

A master’s degree (MBA Finance preferred) or a bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related analytical field.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 12 – 20 years of experience as a pricing analyst.
• Prior experience in the commercial function of a logistics service provider is a significant advantage, with knowledge of freight forwarding, customs clearance, and supply chain dynamics.
• Experience in a commercial function is highly valued.
