Job summary

Ubifly Technologies Pvt Ltd seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) to maintain and test eVTOL aircraft at our advanced facility near IIT Madras Discovery Campus. You will work on electrical propulsion, batteries, avionics and EWIS under expert supervision.

Requirements include an AME or Diploma in Electrical Engineering and at least 1 year in aerospace maintenance. DGCA knowledge is advantageous as you support ground and flight testing activities.

Qualifications

• AME/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience in aircraft/ helicopter/ UAV/ eVTOL maintenance.
• Knowledge of DGCA requirements is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair motors, propellers and related electrical components.
• Install, inspect, and troubleshoot high‑voltage circuits and battery systems.
• Maintain EWIS wiring, routing, bonding and grounding per standards.
• Perform insulation resistance and continuity checks with approved test equipment.
• Install and service avionics: flight control, navigation, comms and sensors.
• Run system integration checks, tests and troubleshoot as needed.
• Support software loading, configuration verification and system validation.
• Document findings and corrective actions accurately.
• Lead Ground Test Vehicle readiness and pre/post test inspections.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)

• The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer/ Diploma Trainee will play a crucial role in the maintenance for ground & flight testing of our Aircrafts within our state‑of‑the‑art testing facility. We are looking for highly motivated and dedicated AME’s/ Diploma Trainee (Electrical engineering) to join our company as Aircraft Maintenance Engineer/ Diploma Trainee. The AME’s will support the maintenance, inspection, installation, and testing of next‑generation electric Vertical Take‑Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The role provides hands‑on exposure to electric propulsion systems, batteries, avionics, wiring, and ground test vehicle (GTV) operations, under the supervision of experts.

Required Qualifications

• Education: AME/ Diploma in Electrical engineering
• Experience:
• Minimum 1 Year relevant experience in aircraft / Helicopter/ UAV / eVTOL/ advanced aerospace systems maintenance.
• Knowledge on DGCA requirements is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of critical components like motors & propellers.
• Carry out installation, inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting of high‑voltage circuits, battery systems and electric propulsion interfaces.
• Maintain and inspect electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS), including routing, bonding, grounding, clamping, and protection.
• Perform continuity, insulation resistance, and functional checks using approved test equipment.
• Install, inspect, and maintain avionics systems including:
• Flight control and actuation systems.
• Navigation, communication, and sensor systems.
• Integrated vehicle management and monitoring systems.
• Conduct system integration checks, functional tests, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support software loading, configuration verification, and system validation under approved procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of findings and corrective actions.
• Lead maintenance and readiness activities for Ground Test Vehicles (GTVs) and prototype aircrafts, including pre‑test, turn‑around test and post‑test inspections.
• Assist in test setup, instrumentation connections, data cable management, and test‑area readiness.
