Job summary

The Eplane Company in Chennai seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer/ Diploma Trainee to support ground flight testing of our eVTOL aircraft. You will participate in inspection, maintenance, installation and testing of high‑voltage systems, batteries, avionics, EWIS, and GTV operations under expert supervision.

The ideal candidate holds an AME or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, with at least 1 year in aerospace maintenance, and a working knowledge of DGCA requirements.

Qualifications

• AME/Diploma in Electrical engineering.
• 1 year minimum aircraft/ helicopter/ UAV/ eVTOL maintenance experience.
• DGCA knowledge is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of motors and propellers.
• Carry out installation, inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting of high-voltage circuits and battery systems.
• Maintain and inspect EWIS wiring interconnections including routing, bonding, grounding, clamping, and protection.
• Perform continuity, insulation resistance, and functional checks using approved equipment.
• Install, inspect, and maintain avionics systems including flight control, navigation, communication and sensors.
• Lead maintenance and readiness activities for Ground Test Vehicles (GTVs) and prototype aircrafts, including pre-test, turn-around and post-test inspections.

Job Summary

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer/ Diploma Trainee will play a crucial role in the maintenance for ground flight testing of our aircraft within our state-of-the-art testing facility. We are looking for highly motivated and dedicated AMEs/ Diploma Trainee (Electrical engineering) to join our company as Aircraft Maintenance Engineer/ Diploma Trainee. The AMEs will support the maintenance, inspection, installation, and testing of next-generation electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The role provides hands-on exposure to electric propulsion systems, batteries, avionics, wiring, and ground test vehicle (GTV) operations, under the supervision of experts.

Required Qualifications

• Education: AME/ Diploma in Electrical engineering
• Experience: Minimum 1 Year relevant experience in aircraft / Helicopter/ UAV / eVTOL/ advanced aerospace systems maintenance.
• Knowledge on DGCA requirements is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of critical components like motors propellers.
• Carry out installation, inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting of high-voltage circuits, battery systems and electric propulsion interfaces.
• Maintain and inspect electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS), including routing, bonding, grounding, clamping, and protection.
• Perform continuity, insulation resistance, and functional checks using approved test equipment.
• Install, inspect, and maintain avionics systems including: Flight control and actuation systems. Navigation, communication, and sensor systems. Integrated vehicle management and monitoring systems.
• Conduct system integration checks, functional tests, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support software loading, configuration verification, and system validation under approved procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of findings and corrective actions.
• Lead maintenance and readiness activities for Ground Test Vehicles (GTVs) and prototype aircrafts, including pre-test, turn-around test and post-test inspections.
• Assist in test setup, instrumentation connections, data cable management, and test-area readiness.
