Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in India seeks an Air Export Gateway Operations Specialist to manage local gateway operations, optimize cargo flows, and meet SLAs. You will procure spot capacity when needed and drive growth through efficient processes and collaboration with multiple internal teams.

The role requires 3–5 years of Air Export experience, strong carrier management skills, and a proven track record in handling high shipment volumes in a fast-paced setting. MS Office proficiency is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end export gateway operations (300–400 tons/month).
• Optimize capacity utilization & cargo flow in line with SLAs and carrier guidelines.
• Drive yield improvement (space utilization, consolidation, efficiency).
• Coordinate with carriers for spot pricing & capacity procurement.
• Ensure compliance with carrier, security & safety regulations.
• Plan & execute outbound/inbound freight movements, including ground coordination.
• Leverage automation, standardization & process improvements to drive efficiency.
• Collaborate with CS, CCL, OCC, Sales, global & X-Community teams.
• Contribute to global gateway network initiatives, share best practices & enhance processes.
• Support business implementations, RFQs & ongoing operations.

The Air Logistics Gateway Operations Specialist is responsible for executing the operations of a local gateway. This role involves utilizing procured fixed capacity, optimizing cargo flows, and enhancing the commercial outcomes of gateway activities. Additionally, the position is accountable for meeting agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), fulfilling customer demands, procuring spot capacity when necessary, and enabling growth.
