ABOUT THE MANDATE

Our Company is establishing a direct Brazil origination corridor for Black Matpe (Urad / Vigna mungo), sourcing primarily out of Mato Grosso / Rondonópolis via our Brazil JV entity (GEES). The produce is targeted at the Indian domestic market — dal mills, institutional buyers, and foodservice accounts — with the UAE acting as an intermediate trading hub through our Growmore/different entity.

We are looking for a trader who has lived this trade: someone who understands the Black Matpe crop cycle out of Brazil, the quality specs demanded by Indian dal mills, and can act as the commercial bridge between origination, logistics, and end‑buyer relationships. This is not a back‑office role — it requires market judgment, counterpart credibility, and the ability to close

• Own a named buyer pipeline of dal mills, wholesalers, and importers across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, UP, and Andhra Pradesh
• Negotiate selling price, payment terms (LC/DA/DP/open credit), and delivery schedules
• Manage buyer complaints, rejections, and quality disputes — including re‑grading or re‑export decisions
• Build long‑term offtake relationships to support volume predictability and pipeline planning
• Work with Growmore UAE as the intermediate trading entity — ensure FEMA/IDPMS compliance on INR/USD remittance flows
• Coordinate shipping documentation: B/L, certificate of origin, quality certificates, phytosanitary certificates, bill of exchange
• Track shipment lifecycle from vessel loading in Brazil through port clearance at Indian destination
• Coordinate with the internal agri desk (Aleksandr, Darshan) on demand‑side signals and credit approvals

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Non‑Negotiable

• Direct trading experience in Black Matpe / Urad — either as an importer, exporter, or miller‑side buyer
• Familiarity with Indian import customs: BCD, AIDC, SWS, fumigation norms, FSSAI specifications for split/whole urad
• Ability to read and negotiate trade contracts, LC terms, and price‑risk clauses independently
• Strong numeracy — can build a P&L per shipment, model margin scenarios, and flag risk triggers without hand‑holding

Strongly Preferred

• Prior exposure to the Brazil–India pulse trade corridor (Black Matpe, pigeon pea, or soybean)
• Existing network of Brazilian origins OR Indian dal mill buyers — either side is valuable
• Familiarity with UAE‑based trading structures and their role in South‑South agri flows
• Experience working with multi‑entity group structures across geographies
• Proficiency in Portuguese (Brazilian) is a significant advantage — not mandatory
