Job summary

S R Manpower Thane is seeking a skilled Commodity Trader with 5 to 9 years' experience in physical spice trades across PAN India and international markets. You will analyze markets, source supply, and coordinate import-export operations to ensure timely, compliant trades.

Build strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers and buyers, develop trading strategies to maximize profitability, monitor price movements, and collaborate with procurement, logistics and finance to execute

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commodity trading, preferably in spice commodities.
• Strong understanding of import-export regulations and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of market dynamics, pricing, and trading principles.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Role & responsibilities

• Manage and execute physical commodity trades efficiently across PAN India and international markets, ensuring timely transactions and smooth trade execution.
• Analyze trade data, market trends, pricing, and trading performance to generate insights and optimize future trading decisions.
• Build and maintain strong business relationships with domestic and international suppliers, buyers, importers, exporters, and other key stakeholders.
• Develop and implement effective trading strategies to maximize profitability and expand business opportunities in domestic and global spice markets.
• Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify sourcing opportunities, price fluctuations, supply-demand trends, and new business prospects across PAN India and international markets.
• Identify and develop new suppliers, buyers, and distribution channels to strengthen the company's domestic and international trading network.
• Coordinate end-to-end import-export operations, including negotiations, trade documentation, logistics, shipment coordination, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor commodity market developments, competitor activities, and global price movements to support informed trading decisions.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes, import-export policies, international trade regulations, and industry developments affecting commodity trading.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales, logistics, finance, and quality control teams to ensure efficient execution of domestic and international commodity trades.
