Job summary

Randstad is seeking an Agriculture Sourcing & Natural Raw Material Manager to lead sustainable sourcing of herbs, seeds and botanicals for plant extract production. This field-based role covers Tamil Nadu and nearby regions with extensive travel.

You will build farmer networks, manage crop yield data, forecast supply risks, and ensure quality compliance. Strong local language skills and 10+ years in herbal/botanical sourcing are required, along with willingness to travel to farming areas.

Position: Agriculture Sourcing & Natural Raw Material Manager

Department: Supply Chain / Procurement / Operations

Reporting To: Supply chain

Location: Plant / Field-based (Extensive travel)

Regional Knowledge: Most crops are based in Tamilnadu & Bangalore so a tamil person is required, if knowing Tamil + kannad language will be an advantage

Role Purpose:

Will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing sustainable sourcing of herbs, seeds, and botanical raw materials required for plant extract production, including sourcing from non-traditional crop-growing regions to ensure supply continuity, quality compliance, and cost stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop farmers, traders and cooperative networks
• Maintain crop yield, availability, seasonality, and price database
• Forecast supply risks and shortages
• Ensure raw material meets quality specifications
• Support traceability and audit readiness (Wherever Applicable)
• Maintain crop-wise risk register
• Mitigate climate and supply risks

Qualifications & ; Experience:

• B.Sc / M.Sc Agriculture, Botany, Horticulture or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in herbal / botanical sourcing
• Local language
