Job summary

Gamlaa is seeking an experienced Commercial Horticulture Procurement Lead to strengthen our sourcing network and secure favorable bulk pricing for Bengaluru projects.

You will drive negotiations, align with operations, and ensure quality through strict pre-dispatch checks, while coordinating complex logistics across sites.

The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years in horticulture procurement, with a degree in Horticulture or Agriculture, and strong grower relationships in Kadiyam and Muchisha.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in commercial horticulture procurement or large-scale nursery management.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Horticulture or Agriculture.
• Strong relationships with growers in the Kadiyam and Muchisha regions.

Responsibilities

• Expand and manage a network of tier-1 nurseries and contract growers for bulk pricing and supply risk reduction.
• Lead high-value contract negotiations for pricing terms and delivery timelines.
• Set and enforce pre-dispatch inspection standards for plant health, height, root development, and appearance.
• Oversee multi-location transit schedules and packing protocols to minimize transit damage and ensure on-time delivery to Bengaluru project sites.
• Collaborate with Bangalore Operations, Logistics and Fulfilment Centres to synchronize order execution and manage shortages.

• Strategic Sourcing: Expand and manage a robust network of tier-1 nurseries and contract growers to secure competitive bulk pricing and reduce supply risks.
• Commercial Negotiation: Lead high-value contract negotiations for optimal pricing, flexible payment terms, and reliable delivery timelines.
• Quality Assurance: Set and enforce strict pre-dispatch inspection standards covering plant health, height, root development, and appearance.
• Logistics & Dispatch: Oversee complex, multi-location transit schedules and specialized packing protocols to minimize transit damage and ensure on-time delivery to Bangalore project sites.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Bangalore Operations, Logistics, and Fulfilment Centres (FF) to sync order execution, manage inventory shortages, and track market trends.

Requirements

• Experience: 5–8+ years in commercial horticulture procurement, agriculture supply chain, or large-scale nursery management.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Network: Strong established relationships with growers in the Kadiyam and Muchisha regions.
• Skills: Elite vendor management, sharp commercial negotiation, and experience managing complex logistics.
