Job summary

MTC Business in Bengaluru seeks a senior leader to steer Strategic Corporate Planning, P&L management, and regional profitability. You will craft regional pricing with operations and finance, align plant schedules with demand, and drive governance across the downstream network.

You will mentor sales leaders, manage distributor networks, and pursue large B2B and government projects, positioning the brand through targeted campaigns.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing zonal sales in steel or TMT bars.
• Proven track record leading sales managers and ASMs.
• Ability to coordinate across operations, procurement and finance.

Role & responsibilities

• Strategic Corporate Planning & Profitability (P&L)


• Zonal Profitability: Owning the complete financial health, budget allocation, and profitability metrics for an entire state zone or major product category.


• Pricing Strategy: Collaborating with plant operations, raw material procurement teams, and corporate finance to establish regional pricing matrixes, discount structures, and high-volume trade schemes.


• Plant-Market Coordination: Aligning sales forecasting with the manufacturing plants production schedules to ensure the optimum mix of steel grades (Fe 500D, 550D, 600) and diameters are available, minimizing inventory holding costs.


• Macro Multi-Tiered Governance


• Leadership / Mentorship: Directly managing, coaching, and evaluating RSM, ASM, TO & SO and setting the KPIs for the entire downstream organizational matrix.


• Network Governance: Overseeing the health of the distributor and institutional partner network, ensuring high financial discipline, credit compliance, and minimal market outstanding risks.


• Large-Scale B2B & Government Liaison: Spearheading pitches and securing corporate approvals for massive national infrastructure projects (e.g., Metros, Expressways, Airports) and high-value government bodies (NHAI, CPWD, RDSO).


• Cross-Functional Synergy & Brand Equity


• Sales-Technical Integration: Ensuring that the technical marketing strategies (structural engineering tie-ups, institutional testing benchmarks) seamlessly fuel corporate commercial volumes.


• Brand Positioning: Directing regional marketing, ATL, BTL media campaigns, and high-profile influencer engagement strategies to position the TMT brand as a premium choice.
