Job summary

Linde is seeking an experienced AGM - Distribution Safety for South Asia to lead safety across distribution operations. You will implement robust safety systems, monitor critical KPIs, conduct risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with regional teams and partners.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree with a postgraduate safety qualification, 8–10 years in safety/ops, and at least 5 years leading regional distribution safety, with a proactive governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent from a recognised university.
• Postgraduate qualification in Safety Management or related field preferred.
• 8–10 years in Safety, Supply Chain, Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing or FMCG ops.
• Minimum 5 years leading Distribution/Logistics Safety regionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day Distribution Operations Safety across South Asia, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices.
• Drive safety performance via KPIs, risk assessments, investigations and corrective actions.
• Develop and sustain a strong safety governance and monitoring regime across logistics, warehousing and contractors.
• Lead deployment and scaling of safety initiatives; onboard new regions into standardized programs.
• Identify and share best practices; build capability through coaching and training; engage stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams, logistics partners and service providers; generate dashboards and MIS reports.

• You will be Leading and managing day-to-day Distribution Operations Safety across South Asia, ensuring compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices


• You will be responsible for Driving safety performance improvement through robust monitoring, analysis of safety KPIs, risk assessments, incident investigations, and implementation of corrective actions


• Further, you will be developing and sustaining a strong distribution safety governance and monitoring regime, ensuring effective risk management across logistics, transportation, warehousing, and contractor operations


• In this role, you will Lead the deployment, replication, and scaling of distribution safety initiatives and projects across regions while supporting onboarding of new regions into standardized safety programs


• And you will be responsible for identifying and sharing best practices, driving capability building, and fostering a proactive safety culture through coaching, training, and stakeholder engagement


• You will collaborate with internal teams, logistics partners, and third-party service providers to continuously improve operational safety performance. Generate Weekly/Monthly Performance Dashboard & MIS reports (ex. DRP / HOS / JSO/ Other reliability dashboard/ IT & Process Audit preparation & fulfillment)

Winning in your role. Do you have what it takes?

• You have a bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production, Automobile, Chemical) or equivalent from a recognized university


• In addition you have post Graduate qualification in Safety Management, Industrial Safety, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management preferred


• You have 8-10 years of relevant experience in Safety, Supply Chain, Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, or FMCG operations and minimum five (5) years of experience leading Distribution/Logistics Safety at a regional or national level


• You have proven experience in transportation safety, warehouse safety, contractor safety, and safety governance
