Job summary

Linde Global IT Delivery Center, Kolkata, India, is seeking a Senior Specialist to contribute to software development, modernization, cloud adoption and operational ownership. You will work across a large codebase while transitioning the platform to a cloud-native architecture using Java, Spring Boot, React, containers and cloud technologies.

You will own design, development, testing, deployment and operational support of complex features, deliver new capabilities, and modernize existing systems

Qualifications

• 7–8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with large, legacy codebases and modernization projects.
• Proven ability to design, build, test, deploy, and support complex features.
• Strong SQL skills with MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in Java (8–21) with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, testing, deployment, and operational support of complex features across Java/Spring backend and React frontend applications.
• Deliver new business capabilities while improving maintainability, performance and reliability.
• Design and implement scalable APIs, integrations, and service-oriented solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across application, infrastructure, integration and database layers.
• Contribute to modernization of a large legacy monolith using incremental migration patterns.
• Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve architecture and operational efficiency.
• Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and implementation planning.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Support cloud-native deployments on Azure and/or AWS.
• Participate in monitoring, observability, incident management and root cause analysis.

Winning in your role. Do you have what it takes?

• The Senior Specialist in this role must have experience supporting production applications, including incident investigation, performance troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and operational support responsibilities.
• 7-8+years of professional software development experience building and supporting enterprise applications is a must
• Also, proven experience working within large,establishedcodebases rather than exclusively greenfield applications.
• You should have experience modernizing, refactoring, or migrating existing enterprise systems whilemaintainingproduction operations.
• Moreover, experience working on large-scale enterprise application modernization initiatives where both ongoing business enhancements and production support responsibilities weremaintainedthroughout the transformation.
• Also, experience with automated testing (unit, integration) and CI/CD tooling.
• Must is a degree or equivalent from a reputed institute
• And solid SQL skills and experience with both MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Lastly, strongproficiencyin Java (8–21) with practical knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
