Job summary

Aptiv in Bengaluru seeks an Advanced Software Engineer for SW Functional Testing. You will join the functional test team, define AUTOSAR-based test cases, and automate testing for radar product software in a multicore embedded environment.

You will work with cross-functional teams, debug issues with ownership, and ensure timely delivery in an Agile setup. Ideal candidates hold a BE/BTech/M.E./M.Tech in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation with 6–9 years of Automotive functional testing

Qualifications

• Experience in functional testing of radar domain software and AUTOSAR-based tests.
• Hands-on testing of advanced embedded automotive software and BSW.
• Knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet and diagnostics testing methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to functional test activities for radar products.
• Define and optimize AUTOSAR-based test cases in multicore environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams; own debugging and issue resolution.
• Execute tests, report defects, and support regression/test automation.
• Operate in an Agile development environment and adhere to process.

Advanced Software Engineer - SW Functional Testing

In particular you will be responsible for:

• Be a core part in functional test team for Radar product based Embedded SW Test development for safety products to be used in various global OEM vehicle.
• Define and/or optimize Autosar based SW Test Cases in multicore environment and automate the same.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams for day-to-day activities Debugging Skills & Issue Resolution with ownership
• Manage your time effectively against your targets
• Adhere to Company's Policies and Procedures, Emphasize and Support Continuous Process Improvement
• Work in an agile development environment

Your Background

From B.E. / B. Tech / M.E. / M. Tech in Electronics & Communication / Electrical /Instrumentation Background. Minimum experience of 6 to 9 years in Automotive Functional Testing

Mandatory Skills

• Experience in Software - Functional testing of Radar, Domain controller platform.
• Mandatory Programming skills: Python , CAPL
• Preferrable Programming Skills: C, C++ Hands on experience in Testing Autosar Code, BSW, Cyber security, Fault injections testing and good knowledge on CAN, LIN , Ethernet and Diagnostics Test case design, test case automation, test case execution against Software Requirements and Software Architecture for automotive products Ability to identify and perform regression tests, smoke tests, acceptance tests against the changes in Software Ability to execute Test reporting, defect tracking and supportive functions Work experience with Automated Test environment /Manual Test benches, Test environment setup and debugging Tools: TRACE32, Lauterbach debugger(or other), CANoe, Renesas Experience of working in Agile development environment is an added advantage Good team player, exhibits good written and communication skills. Excellent communication Preferred Skill: ISTQB Certificates Knowledge on: Linux, Jenkins, Jira, Polarion, SharePoint, Confluence, GIT or similar
