Job Description – Advanced Embedded Engineer

• 8‑10 years’ experience in avionics software development, systems, or software verification, with a minimum of 2 years as a Technical Lead in software verification or development.
• Strong technical skills with emphasis on software development and verification processes, certification, and DO‑178 design assurance guidelines.
• Deep understanding of software verification methods and tools currently in use, and familiarity with industry standards and direction.
• Proven leadership abilities and the motivation to influence technical decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, effective collaboration within a global management team, and a comprehensive understanding of the role of software in modern products.
• Experience working on DO‑178B/C aerospace programs.
• Ability to drive common test architecture, environment, and strategies, including tools and processes.
• Strong grasp of C, C++, Python, and embedded programming.
• Experience using Gen AI tools such as ChatGPT, large language models, and natural language processing to develop application utilities that automate process steps.
• Familiarity with audits, PDR, CDR, TRR, RFS, and bench setup.
• Capability to influence software architecture to support the most efficient testing approach.
• Staying abreast of the latest embedded software testing technologies in aerospace and adjacent fields.
• Reviewing and approving preliminary design review and critical design review for efficient test approaches and solutions.
• Expertise in using debuggers, simulators, Vector Cast/Cover, and MATLAB.
• Evaluation of new technologies (multi‑core processors, handheld devices, graphics, etc.) and new architecture design tools, with experience in developing and defining processes that promote mistake‑proof and efficient work.
• Leading technical development activities, guiding lower‑level engineers, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and driving quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Managing stakeholders within and outside the organization and proposing technical improvements using engineering expertise.
